How to set a forwarding e-mail address (Gmail)

We recommend you set a forwarding  e-mail address to let our bot automatically verify for you.

Please follow the steps below to set a forwarding e-mail address.


1) Please sign into your gmail account ( the one you used on your instagram) on a computer.

2) Go to Settings by clicking on the gear icons, and then click 'Settings'.


3) Click the 'Forwarding and POP/IMAP' tab.



4) Under the 'Forwarding and POP/IMAP' section, you will see a bottom 'Add a forwarding address'.3.png


Click it and enter the e-mail address below, and click 'Next'



5)Then you will see this pop up.

Please click 'Proceed' to add this e-mail.


6)We will send you an e-mail with a confirmation code.

Please enter it and click 'Verify'.



7)Now you have added a forwarding e-mail and you will see the following on your page.



Now let's create a filter to get Instagram verification e-mails to be automatically forwarded to us.


1)Go to 'Filters and Blocked Addresses' tab from Settings page.8.png


2) Click 'Create a new filter'.



3) Please fill in the followings as shown in the picture and then click 'Create filter'.

 a) In the 'From' field, please enter

 b) In the 'Has the words' field, please enter your instagram username.



4) Then you will see next section.

Please check 'Forward it to' option and select the the forwarding e-mail ( have set before, and click 'Create filter'.



5) Go back to 'Forwarding and POP/IMAP' tab again.


Under the 'Forwarding' section, please select 'Forward a copy of incoming mail to' option.

And do make sure " use by a filter)' is selected as shown in the picture.


6) Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and 'Save Changes'.



7) One final step, in order to activate this setting and to make sure we will be receiving verification emails from Instagram moving forward, please go to hashlikes dashboard and reconnect your account once (if prompted, please choose get verification code to email). 

If your account is connected now, please do this when your account is disconnected and verification is needed.


Now you have done all the steps to set a forwarding e-mail address.

From now on, verification e-mails will be forwarded to us, and our bot will automatically verify for you.
